Demonstration program for the phase-out of Halon 1301 fire extinguishing system

Halon 1301 may not be generally known but in industrial sector, Halon 1301 is recognized as gaseous fire suppression, which is very essential for safety measure in a workplace. At the same time, Halon 1301 is one of the global warming agents. Due to TMB’s environmental concern, the Bank in cooperation with the Department of Industrial works, World Bank and NPC Safety and Environmental Service, has rolled out a demonstration program for Halon 1301 replacement, which is one of the activities of Halon management program in the country.
