The program is aimed at providing fundamental knowledge on investment and business operation to students with potential to become future entrepreneurs. Throughout the past 25 years, TMB has provided knowledge on business operation and awareness of social responsibility to the third- and fourth-year university students attending the long-term workshop to enhance them to become successful entrepreneurs who are also aware of social responsibility. Forty-two sessions have been so far held, with 25 sessions in Bangkok and 17 upcountry, for more than 2,500 students altogether.
In association with the Department of Industrial Promotion, TMB has held a training course on “New Entrepreneur Creation (NEC),” with a purpose to strengthen the entrepreneurs’ potential, ensure their sustained success and ability to stay viable amid the fierce competition in the SME industry in light of unstable economic situation. The lecturers consist of the qualified persons capable of consultancy and those successful in their businesses, all of which are scrutinized by the Bank.
Aiming at enhancing entrepreneur customers’ competitive edge, TMB has conducted seminars with a provision of up-to-date and useful knowledge on business administration. This free seminar helps participants to catch up with the change in economic condition and to have sustained growth.
TMB involves in the selection process of candidates for the Good Governance Award Program, hosted by Puey Ungpakorn Institution, in cooperation with Institution for Small and Medium Enterprises Development and the Thai Bankers’ Association. The program aims at enhancing the standard of good governance in organizations by awarding SMEs performing good governance.
TMB involves in the Outstanding Industry Award program, conducted by the Ministry of Industry to present distinction to creative industrial entrepreneurs who introduce innovations which are beneficial to the country’s industrial development. The Bank has sent its representative to join the sub-committee in business visit since 2004 and has all along encouraged its customers to enter the contest.
