The Ministry of Industry has conducted this program to select outstanding industries since 1981. The purpose of this program is to present distinction to creative industrial entrepreneurs who put best effort in introducing innovations which are beneficial to the country’s industrial development. To enable SME entrepreneurs to systematize the improvement and development of their management, criteria have been laid down for the selection of outstanding SME industries. The key objective is to have SME entrepreneurs apply such criteria as guidelines for standardizing their business plans or for improving their management system so that their industrial factories can be held up as inspiring examples.

Cooperating in the above Outstanding Industry Program, TMB has sent its representative to join the sub-committee in business visit since 2004. The Bank has all along encouraged its customers to enter the contest. Eventually, Million Polyseal Industry Co., Ltd., a plastic label manufacturer, won the 2007 The Prime Minister Industry Award for the management of SME.
