New Entrepreneur Creation (NEC) Program

The government has a policy to support and develop the entrepreneurs of SMEs which are considered as Thailand’s economic fundamentals through the creation of new SME entrepreneurs.  Meanwhile, the government also nurtures and develops existing potential SME entrepreneurs so that they will survive. Therefore, the Department of Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry, has been assigned by the government to initiate “New Entrepreneur Creation (NEC) Program"

 

Equipped with numbers of experts in entrepreneur development and being a financial institution that values Thailand economic development, TMB cooperates with the Department of Industrial Promotion in conducting a New Entrepreneur Creation Training Program to provide the participants with necessary business knowledge in becoming SME entrepreneurs or in adopting such knowledge to their family businesses so that the economy of the country as a whole will be strengthened.

Objectives

  1. To make the participants learn of fundamental factors and other necessary business skills and knowledge in order to become entrepreneurs;

  2. To enhance participants’ capability and potential for their business operation and expansion; 
  3. To enhance their creativity in setting up new businesses.

Applicants’ qualifications (Only one of the following qualifications is required.)

  • New graduates for not longer than 1 year
  • Unemployed persons
  • SME entrepreneurs during business start-up period of 1-3 years
  • Heirs of business owners
  • Freelance (such as lawyers, physicians, staff)
    ** Participants must at least have vocational degree, or equivalent **

  3. Program Module
  4. Theoretical section: This section is a lecture session based on the defined syllabus, conducted by qualified lecturers from government agencies, private sectors, and banks including successful business entrepreneurs. This section also includes a study trip to industrial factories so that the participants will have the opportunity to learn from real businesses.

    Practice section: The participants will have an opportunity to attend a workshop, practice a case study, and write up individual’s business plan with recommendation provided by a consultant team.

  5. The training period is 22 consecutive working days (exclusive of official holidays).

  6. The training program will be conducted in 3 sessions altogether and the program will accept approximately 40 applicants for each session (120 applicants in total for 3 sessions). 
  7. The selection criteria will be based on the interview with the applicants. Those with strong intention to attain quality entrepreneurship and the willingness to learn and are able to fully commit themselves to program participation throughout the training period will be selected.

Session 1: May 19 - June 17 ,2009
Session 2 : June 16 - July 17, 2009
Session 3 : July 21, 2009 - August 19,2009
Monday - Friday, 09.00 AM - 5.00 PM (exclusive of official holidays).

Training Fee

Free of charge.
Selected applicants have to pay training deposit in an amount of Bt. 2,000.  The Bank will refund the deposit after the training program is completed on condition that the applicants have fully complied with the program terms & conditions.
