How to Apply Via TMB ATM Machines

  • Insert your ATM/DEBIT card and enter your pin number
  • Select “Others” menu and then select “TMB SMS Alert”
  • Select “Apply for TMB SMS Alert”
  • Read offered “Terms and Conditions” and then select “Confirm”
  • Enter your 10-digit mobile phone number and then select “Correct”
  • Confirm your 10-digit mobile phone number and then select “Confirm”
  • You will receive a printed slip confirming your transaction as well as SMS alert on your designated mobile phone.

How to Cancel Via TMB ATM Machines

  • Insert your ATM/DEBIT card and enter your pin number
  • Select “Others” menu and then select “TMB SMS Alert”
  • Select “Cancel for TMB SMS Alert” and then select “Confirm”
  • Screen shows cancel transaction completed.
  • You will receive a printed slip confirming your transaction as well as SMS alert on your designated mobile phone.

Terms and Conditions

  • TMB SMS Alert is for individuals’ use only. Customers must have TMB ATM card or TMB debit card in order to apply for the service. Accounts applicable can either be savings or current accounts (exclude joint account).
  • This service is available for customers during 7.00 a.m. - 11.00 p.m. Any transaction made after 11.00 p.m. will be recorded and sent to customers’ mobile phones from 7.00 a.m. onward the next day.
  • SMS will be sent with no minimum worth transaction or the balance in the account when customers have withdrawal transactions, deposit transitions, transfer transactions, debit card spending transactions, direct debit transactions and cheque return transactions.
  • User may change his/her mobile phone number or terminate the service at any TMB ATM machines or Phone Banking 1558.
  • TMB reserves the rights to change or terminate TMB SMS Alert and relevant terms and conditions at any time with or without prior notice to its users, and without liability to its users or any other parties. Continued usage of this service following any change shall constitute your acceptance of the change.

SMS Alert Fee

  • SMS Alert Fee will be charged from 1st November 2011 onward.
  • SMS Alert Fee is according to Bank announcement regarding service fees and fines related to deposits and credit facilities and other bank fees.
  • Since January 2012, SMS Alert will be deducted from savings or current accounts at every 2nd Saturday of the month.

Waiving privilege for SMS Alert Fee

  • Private Banking, Wealth Banking, and Superior Banking customers are waived for SMS Alert fee charged of every account.
  • Account type : TMB SME No Fee MAX, TMB No Fixed Account, TMB Savings Care Account, TMB No Worry Savings Account, TMB Dream Savings Account, and TMB Prima Saving Account are waived for SMS Alert fee.
