Must be the person-to-person transfer.
To receive money, the money receiver gets Baht cash, without having to own TMB account, and no fee applied.
To send money, the currency of the money to be sent must be Baht, and a money receiver gets cash in the local currency of the country he/she is in. The transfer applies exchange rates and costs fee determined by Moneygram Company.
The maximum amount per transaction in Baht is equivalent of 10,000 USD, and the money transfer can only be carried out twice a day.
The money sender may send the message containing 10 words maximum, along with the money, without any additional payment.
To send money
Visit a MoneyGram agent, taking with you a form of personal identification and the supporting documents for sending money; i.e. invoices, copy of receiver’s passport, work permit, etc.
Complete a simple Send Form (including a complimentary personal 10-word message if you wish) and hand this in, along with the money you want to send and the transfer fee
You will be given a Reference Number
Give the Reference Number to the person you wish to receive the money and, in minutes, the money will be paid
To receive money
Obtain the Reference Number from money sender
Visit a MoneyGram agent taking with you personal identification documents and the Reference Number
Complete and hand in a simple Receive Form and you will be paid, usually in your local currency
